The Mayor of Nice, France, tourists on Sunday to stay as a holiday destination with a rapid increase in COVID-19 cases.

Nice has competed with the nation’s highest infection rate, with 740 new per 100 inhabitants per week, according to local data.

Astrosi said the influx of visitors during the holiday season contributes to the increasing number of cases.
