Mayor Bill de Blasio has called for an independent investigation into what he calls “truly disturbing” sexual harassment allegations against Gov. Andrew Andrew.

De Blasio said Thursday that the investigation into the of former Cuomo affiliate Lindsey Boylan requires “some individual or institution that does not compromise” or “dominate” by the governor’s office.

“Look, these allegations are really disturbing, let’s be clear about that,” De Blasio said.

“When a woman comes forward with such specific allegations, we have to take it seriously.”

The mayor said: “This type of behavior, if true, is unacceptable.”

Actress and #MeToo activist Rose McGowan also demanded an investigation into Cuomo over Boylan’s allegations.

Bottlen, now the Democratic nominee for Manhattan Borough President, initially accused Cuomo of sexual harassment in a series of tweets in December.

At the time, he did not elaborate on Kyomo’s alleged conduct, but on Wednesday he posted an essay on the Medium website Claimed he kissed her

“On the lips” without warning after a meeting in his Manhattan office in 2018.

Boylan also alleged that during his October 2017 flight on his official state jet, Cuomo told him, “Let’s play strip poker.”

Cuomo described Boylan’s allegations as “not true” in December, but has not yet addressed them personally.

On Wednesday, her press secretary, Kaitlyn Girouard, said in a prepared statement, “As we said earlier, Ms. Boylan’s of inappropriate behavior are fairly straightforward.”

Girard also released a joint statement from four current and former colleagues – Johnny Magigor, Zemsky, Dani Lever and AB Fashor Collins – who said he had joined Cuomo for the October 2017 flights on which Boylan was also a passenger .

“We were on each of these October flights and this conversation did not take place,” the statement said.
