Alan Dershovit advising Mike Lindell’s lawyers in Dominion suit

Alan Dershowitz is “consulting” for My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell in a $ 1.3 billion lawsuit brought over Lindell’s 2020 election fraud claims, according to a new report.

Dershowitz, who was part of former President Trump’s legal team during his first impeachment trial, said he had a “limited role” in the Lindell case, He told Hill.

“I think this is a very important First Amendment case,” Dershowitz told the publication.

Last month, the Dominion Voting System filed a defamation complaint against Lindell, who claimed that the voting machine company had stolen “millions of votes” in the presidential election.

The company cited several statements made by Lindell, including media appearances, social media posts, and a two-hour documentary in which Pillow exposes his baseless conspiracy theories about the election.

Dershowitz, a former Harvard law professor and an opinion contributor to The Hill, says Dominion’s suit is restricting the “free market of ideas” – and does not necessarily support Lindel’s beliefs.

The lawyer – who also helped secure the settlement of the controversial 2008 plea of deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein – said he is not directly advising Lindell but advising his attorneys. He said he has done similar work in free speech cases involving Pentagon Papers and WikiLeaks.
