Jennifer Lopez has accepted her second proposal from actor Ben Affleck, taking to her “On The JLo” newsletter Friday night to share the news and to flaunt her latest engagement ring, a green stone set in a silver band.
“If that is indeed a green diamond, then I am stunned,” Diamond Pro CEO Mike Fried told Page Six Style. “A green diamond of that size is incredibly rare and would dwarf the value of their previous engagement ring. I would value the ring well over $5 million and could be worth more than $10 million.”
The color green also holds great significance for the “Let’s Get Loud” singer.
“I always say the color green is my lucky color,” Lopez, 52, shared in one of her previous newsletters. “Maybe you can remember a certain green dress. I’ve realized there are many moments in my life where amazing things happened when I was wearing green.”
Lopez’s love of green extends to her favorite works of art, discussing one piece featuring a green bird perched on someone’s hand and the words “Let Go.”
“I don’t buy a lot of art, but I bought this,” she shared. “One because I love hummingbirds, and two because I love the color green. Birds always fly around me. I’ve always had a special connection with hummingbirds. I realized that a lot of people say they symbolize love. So whenever it feels like wherever I go, they follow me. Whenever I am in a moment of doubt and confusion, one will magically appear by my window, reminding me that the universe will always speak to us if we are open to the signs.”
Lopez sparked engagement rumors this week after being spotted in new paparazzi photos wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand, though the shots were far off and lacked clarity.
During their first engagement back in November 2002, Affleck proposed with a 6.1 carat pink diamond ring from Harry Winston, which J. Lo called at the time, “the most magnificent thing I’ve ever seen.”
Prior to reuniting with Affleck, Lopez’s ex, Alex Rodriguez, proposed to the Bronx bombshell with a flawless 16-carat emerald-cut diamond ring worth $1.8 million.
