Les McCain, the former lead singer of the iconic Scottish pop group Bay City Rollers, has passed away. He was 65.
The family of the late star broke the news of his death Moving facebook post on Thursday.
“It is with sad sorrow that we announce the death of my beloved husband and father, Leslie Richard McKown,” he said.
The family did not disclose the cause of death, only mentioning that they are “arranging their funeral and demanding privacy after the shock of our profound loss.”
McCain was at the forefront of the Bay City rollers during his heyday in the mid-1970s, during which he recorded mega-hits such as “Shang-a-lang,” Bye Bye Baby and “Little A Love”.
