President Biden “committed” to nominate Neera Tandon after the nomination of White House budget director, failing to attack the senators because of his derogatory-rude tweets.
White House press secretary Jane Saki said in her daily briefing on Friday that “the president is willing and committed to explore his position in the administration and leverage all his talents.”
Tandon’s social media earned bipartisan condemnation as president of the Democratic Party-Alliance Center for American Progress on Cafitol Hill, where senators said they were inconsistent with Biden’s promotion of political conscience.
It is unclear if the White House will seek another Senate confirmed role for Tandon, or will be given a location that does not require confirmation, such as a senior White House advisory role.
Tandon withdrew his nomination to head the White House Office of Management and Budget after facing longstanding hurdles confirmed last month.

At least one Republican vote was needed in the equally divided Senate after St. Sentry. Joe Manchin (DW.Va.) stated that he opposed Tenden because of his remarks about his colleagues.
One of the last remaining GOP swing votes, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, said she was surprised to learn that she was Tandon’s target. In 2017, Tenden accused Murkowski of being “high” on his “own supply”.
Tandon’s tweet also snapped Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) ‘S 2016 presidential bid, as was Russia’s choice against Democratic Party favorite Hillary Clinton.

Sanders, an independent self-described socialist who cautions with Democrats, did not take public positions on Tandon’s nomination. But he expressed concern about his insistence on corporate donations to the Center for American Progress.
Tandon’s confirmation hearing had a colorful account of his attack tweets.
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) reminded Tandon, “You wrote that Susan Collins is the ‘worst’, Tom Cotton is a ‘cheat’, the vampire has more heart than Ted Cruz. You made the leader McConnell ‘ Said Moscow Mitch ‘and Voldemort. “

Sen. John Kennedy (R-La.) Quipped, “You called Sen. Sanders but everything is an ignorant slut!”
Biden warned the president’s appointment during a video conference on his first day in office that he would fire “on the spot” if he showed “disrespect” to others in his professional conduct.
