Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley isn’t pleased that he landed on the COVID-19 reserve.

After testing positive for the virus on Tuesday, several reports confirmed Beasley was placed on the Bills’ reserve/COVID-19 list. Since he’s unvaccinated, the wide receiver will have to isolate for 10 days before he’s allowed to return and will miss Buffalo’s next matchup against the Patriots.

Just to be clear, COVID is not keeping me out of this game. The rules are,” Beasley said in an Instagram post. “Vaxxed players are playing with COVID every week now because they don’t test. One of my vaxxed teammates is in the hospital missing games. I’m sure he didn’t get this same energy. Thank you for those who support. Everyone else, if you don’t get what’s happening then there is nothing anybody can do for you.”

The wide receiver has made it abundantly clear he has no plans to get the vaccine. Beasley offered his opinions on the vaccine — which he described as “pro-choice” — via Twitter.

If he was vaccinated, Beasley could potentially return to the Buffalo facility before the Bills’ Week 16 matchup. The NFL recently altered its COVID-19 policies to allow vaccinated, asymptomatic players to return to team facilities once they produce one negative test result. The league previously mandated players produce two negative tests under a 24-hour span before they were allowed to return.

Beasley is the Bills’ second-leading receiver with 640 receiving yards and a touchdown through 14 games. Before landing on the COVID-19 reserve on Tuesday, the wide receiver recorded four catches for 35 yards during the 31-14 win against the Panthers. While he will miss the Bills’ next matchup against the Patriots on Sunday, he could return to the team before they are scheduled to face the Falcons on Jan. 2.
