The Patriots and Cam Newton are going to give it another shot.
New England will re-sign the veteran quarterback for a one-year deal, The Boston Globe reported on Friday morning. The deal is worth $ 14 million, ESPN.com reported.
The move is surprising, as the Patriots held a record of 7-9 in Newton’s first year in place of Brady. The former MVP had little arm strength and his accuracy issues reduced the offense.
