Second-year Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb leads his team in receptions (33), receiving yards (497) and receiving touchdowns (four) through six games this season. At this rate, he’s also on pace to lead the team in NFL fines.

Per a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Lamb has been penalized five times by the league, receiving fines totaling $46,865. Three of those fines have been the result of uniform violations, totaling $25,750.

Here is the breakdown of Lamb’s reported NFL fines, including why he received the penalties:

  • Socks too low vs. Buccaneers (Sept. 9): $5,150
  • Untucked jersey vs. Eagles (Sept. 27): $5,150
  • Untucked jersey vs. Panthers (Oct. 3): $15,450
  • Crackback block vs. Panthers (Oct. 3): $10,815
  • Taunting vs. Patriots (Oct. 17): $10,300

That’s a not-insignificant chunk of change, even taking Lamb’s $1.247 million base salary into consideration. What’s more, the Cowboys receiver will double his fines if he’s penalized by the league a third time for untucking his jersey. Schefter reported such a penalty would result in a fine of $46,350. That would bring his total to $93,215 in NFL fines.

Lamb isn’t the only player on his team known for untucking his jersey — remember Ezekiel Elliott’s midriff? — but his continued fines seem to perplex his teammates.

“I’ve never seen a player so young get fined so much,” teammate Amari Cooper told Dallas radio station KRLD over the weekend. “He’s gotten fined like every week. It’s very confusing to me. I’m like, ‘Do you like money? Do you like getting paid?’”
