A great opportunity for some incredible female creatives and an amazing artist and a complex and unique female role [in] Watching [Jeanette] Grow and change and develop into really crazy years in his life.

Have you read or watched anything to prepare for the tone of the show?

I really loved “The Talented Mr. Replay” and “Cape Fear”. I was doing some 90s film research to learn about this and I saw a lot of amazing projects. We got a 90s teen list for watching movies like “Stunned and Confused” and “Clueless”. [the ABC series] “My so-called life,” which was good.

How did you play Zeenat? She has almost a different character in the show’s three timelines.

I think there is a foundation in who she is as a person and what her relationships are and how she feels about certain people and her family and all that jazz. And then more physical appearance changes. I think we all have parts of ourselves that we can tap into at times more, and I think he is feeling a really strong magnitude of some hard feelings as a young teenager. Was it so amazing that each year was even more fun to play … so being able to tap into ’93, ’94 and ’95 was a great experience. It can be hard to jump around in years, when you go in one day and start in ’95 and then go to ’93 or ’94, sometimes it can feel like you’re having a whiplash. , Like, “Where am I? What’s going on?” But they retained us in the story.

Do you know what is the secret of this show?

I had the right amount of backstory to educate me about what’s going on in Zeenat’s head. But I didn’t know the end until I got the final episode. I think there were still a lot of mysteries that were incomplete for us as an artist. I was very surprised and excited – there are a lot of twists and turns and it is a great, banging ride.
