Chicago MP proposes banning Grand Theft Auto amid banning spike

An Illinois state jurist has introduced a bill to ban Grand Theft Auto and other violent video games amid a spike in carjackings in Chicago.

The report said the law would prohibit the sale of video games, portraying “psychological harm” to everyone, including minors.

“The bill would prohibit selling some of these games that promote activities that are suffering in our communities,” Evans told the newspaper.

Last month, there were 218 reported visits in Chicago.

The bill also extends the definition of “violent video games”.
