College Fantasy Football WR Rankings 2021: Top wide receivers, sleepers to know

Whether you’re a big-time college fantasy football addict or just a casual player, it’s time to start thinking about your college fantasy football draft! One of the key positions is wide receiver. Even talented wideouts rely on their quarterbacks and offensive schemes to be successful, so there’s a lot of work that goes into finding which WR will actually have the best season. Thankfully, CFBDynasty did that work for you! Their WR rankings for the 2021 CFB season just dropped, and they’re proving SN readers with a sneak preview of the top 50.

Topping the receiver list is Purdue’s David Bell. The future NFL star might not grab your attention with his numbers from 2020, but with a solid 6-2, 205-pound frame and a reliable quarterback in Austin Burton, Bell is set to have a big-time breakout this season. He has tremendous upside on a pass-first offense and will no doubt get an opportunity to show the CFB world his full skillset.

This year’s list sees the SEC with nine top-50 wideouts, followed by the Big Ten with eight. The Big 12 is often thought of as an air-raid, high passing-volume league, so it might surprise you it only has four WRs among the top 50. Turns out, these “spread” offenses spread the ball around, which makes more WRs valuable overall but not necessarily the top guys to target.
