Police said a man arrived at a Bronx cell phone store carrying a bouquet of flowers – which shook an employee and then snatched $ 16,000.
Police said the crooks entered the Boost mobile store on East Street Street near Walton Avenue in Mount Eden at around 12:20 pm Monday afternoon when he approached the counter.
He then put the flowers down and fluttered an unknown object and grabbed the worker before asking for money, a 25-year-old woman cut off the arm and neck.
Police said he pushed the worker to the rear of the shop and then took out the dough from the wide-open vault.
He ran from the store, heading west towards East at 170 km Jerome Avenue.
No injuries were reported.
