This flick is never coming to theaters, but is coming to a grounds in Queens.
As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, “Cumming 2 America” - the highly anticipated sequel to Eddie Murphy’s 1988 cult classic “Coming to America” - will not premiere in theaters. Instead it will be released exclusively Amazon prime video And, for one night only, Flushing Meadows will screen 200 cars at Corona Park.
“Coming to America” is a quintessential, iconic Queens film, and we are thrilled to host the only screening of its sequel, ‘Cumming 2 America,’ right here in the film’s backyard, “said Queens Fife President Donovan Richards. The film closes the second season of programming Queens Drive-In, A collaboration between Non-Profit Rooftop Films and the Queen’s Museum of the Moving Image and the New York Hall of Science.
