BALTIMORE – The Yankees’ offensive attacks have taken such a deep grip that they are also impressing DJ LeMahoe, who at times has looked dull-proof since joining the team.
LeMahieu has been to the Yankees less frequently this season than in his second two years. Boone indicated selection as a possible cause.
“He’s been a little less selective on some things,” Boone said of LeMahieu. “He’s swinging at things that make you want to land the ball towards the bridge.”
LeMahieu delivered two hits in a 2-for-skid, including a double, Tuesday, as did Gleiber Torres, who was in a 6-for-33 slam with no extra-base hits.
