Dua Lipa wears Versace bondage dress on Grammys 2022 red carpet

Dua Lipa’s iconic Grammys 2022 red carpet look has us “Levitating” with excitement.

In addition to proving blondes really do have fun with her long, light locks at Sunday’s awards show, the London-born singer wore a Versace bondage dress with a storied history.

The sexy, strappy design hails from the fashion house’s fall 1992 collection — fittingly titled “Miss S&M” — and Donatella Versace herself wore a version to the 1992 Met Gala, which she attended alongside brother Gianni.

Supermodel Cindy Crawford, meanwhile, donned Lipa’s exact dress at the 1992 MTV Video Music Awards — and when her daughter, Kaia, turned 18 in 2019, she paid homage to the leather look.

Likeminded Versace bondage dresses have also been spotted on Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Naomi Campbell, the latter of whom actually walked in the house’s “Miss S&M” show three decades ago.

Fans couldn’t get enough of Dua Lipa’s take on the special piece, calling her “young Donatella” on Instagram and dubbing the ensemble “Classic Versace.”

Donatella commented on Lipa’s Instagram post of the look, writing, “You are an absolute BEAUTY! My Versace Queen making historical moments always ? I love you ?.”
