Like many people, Dwayne Wade was shaken by the news of Tiger Woods’ car accident.
The retired NBA star, who spent time on a relationship with Woods a day earlier on the LA golf course, revealed some details about the time he spent with each other, a day during which Wade had the opportunity to learn from the “goat” met. Of golf.
Wade spoke at the “NBA on TNT” pregame show on Wednesday night:
Yesterday I had an incredible opportunity, and Candace and I, we flew here together, and we talked about it. I chose Golf Club like many people in the Black community because of Tiger Woods. And I got a chance yesterday to get out of there and they taught me a few things and hopefully that will translate. But in my eyes, in that game, and being able to talk to him about Sam and Charlie and his father – it was a great day.
I feel so proud to be able to post that moment to the world today and to be able to get a little snippet of our moment together. I blinked, and I woke up, and I woke up to the news. As everyone gets out of there, my thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones, because we all get shaken and shocked at that moment, not knowing what with Tiger. My prayers go out for him, and hopefully a quick recovery for him, hope he gets a chance to go back to what he loves to do, and he is playing a game of golf. And I’m just thankful that he gave me time yesterday to teach me a few things about the game of golf.
Tiger 4 ????????????????? Our thoughts and hearts are with you ????????????????? Take your time to heal. I am looking forward to our next lesson on watching
