Fans convinced Wendy Williams' new Instagram video is old

The internet sleuths are at it again.

Wendy Williams launched a brand-new Instagram account Wednesday with a video update on her whereabouts and well-being, but some of her fans are not buying what she’s selling.

“This video is a year old,” speculated one follower in the comments section.

“I believe this is an old video,” wrote another.

Eagle-eared fans noticed that Williams talked about her mother being in Florida, where the video was filmed, and also referred to herself as being 56 years old. However, Williams announced in December 2020 that her mother had died, and she is currently 57.

“This have to be old because she said its good to have family like her mom dad and others… But I thought her mother had passed ????,” noted one follower.

“This video is old. She keeps referencing that she is 56 years old but she’s actually 57,” commented another.

Despite the eyebrow-raising comments, Williams’ publicist told Page Six that the talk show host simply misspoke when it came to her age and meant her mother is buried in Florida. The rep also insisted the video was taped Wednesday morning.

A source told Page Six the weather was, in fact, cloudy and windy Wednesday morning, so it very well could be new.

In the more than five-minute-long video, Williams effortlessly goes for a stroll on the beach with her son, Kevin Hunter Jr., as he interviews her about her health.

“Excuse me, I am going back stronger. At 56 years old, there are things that happen to people,” Williams said in response, giving the wrong age.

“I would say things usually start about 40 and they go up from there, you know, so you’ve got to eat the right food.”

The former shock jockette has not hosted “The Wendy Williams Show” since last summer due to ongoing health issues. Sherri Shepherd is set to take over as “permanent guest host” beginning in September.
