Police reported Thursday that a Florida woman robbed a diamond ring worth $ 15,000 from a jewelry store.
Jewel Heist was held on 10 February at Gold Silver Creations in Key-West. According to the Miami Herald.
Store manager Bigya Niraula said that the unidentified woman came into the store and was “complaining a lot.”
“He said, ‘Can I try the ring, please?” I said, “Sure,” he remembered.
She chose a 7 14 carat white gold ring with three diamonds.
As Niraula helped someone else, the sticky-fingered customer swapped the treasured gem for a ring of his own and walked out of the store, police said.
The manager was able to snap some photos of the suspect, who was dressed in a floral skin-tight dress, leopard-print mask, and her hair in two buns.
She is believed to be from Homestead, but may be staying with her boyfriend in Stock Island Key near Key West, police said.
