After Google finally added the Apple App Store Privacy Label to its Gmail app, about a month later we ran an article that thought about what had been happening for so long (Via MacRumors) Belongs to. The app is the second major Google app to get the label, when they were added to YouTube after being updated earlier this month.

The application apparently shares your rough location and user ID with advertisers, as well as information about your interactions with advertisements. According to the privacy label, however, it does not collect your name, physical address, or phone number (although as an email client, Gmail does not explicitly collect your email address). Weirdly, Google added labels without actually updating the Gmail app, even though it was literally crying out for an update (due to a fun bug). The last time Google updated the iOS app was two months ago.
So far, Google’s other big apps such as Maps, Photos, Docs and Chrome have not yet received labels. But the fact that both YouTube and Gmail linked them indicates that Google is starting to roll them into its larger apps.
