GOP House members want Cuomo to testify to deaths in nursing homes

Republican members of the House of Representatives Committee want to subdue Gov. Comer reported that GOP members of the House chose the Subcommittee on the Coronovirus Crisis when they asked for information about nursing home fatalities in June – about a request denied by Democrats when they demanded “accountability and transparency” from Cuomo .

Since then, Republicans on the panel have sent three more document requests to Cuomo, but have been “ignored”.

“Today, we respectfully request that you document, information and communications first requested by the Deputy Selectman Republicans,” Comer wrote, alleging the governor was “actively obstructing Congress’ access to this information is.”

The analysis also noted that the directive “is associated with more than one in 5,780 nursing deaths statewide in late March and early May.”
