New York City’s Irving Plaza concert venue has announced their reopening, confirming a lineup of more than 40 shows through next spring.
Country music’s Ashley McBryde is set to kick-off the series on August 17.
This will be the first anyone has seen of the newly renovated music hall since parent company Live Nation shut its doors in 2019, with a promise to improve layout and enhance listening experience for up to 1,200 guests.
Located in Mahattan’s Union Square, Live Nation has retained many of the the ballroom-style theatre’s architectural charms, some dating back to the turn of the century. This latest remodeling focuses on the VIP experience, with an added private bar and balcony-level box seats, as well as an improved artists’ lounge.
General admission ticket holders can expect an expanded lobby and bar area, “improved sightlines” and better WiFi connectivity, according to a press release.
Presale tickets for a number of shows go on sale this week on Ticketmaster, including Ashley McBryde, Noah Cryus, Guided By Voices, Ben Folds and Jesse McCartney.
