Robert Aaron Long of Georgia’s Woodstock is suspected of firing on Tuesday night. While it has not yet been confirmed that he was specifically targeting Asians, it adds to the rapid rise in anti-Asian violence that has occurred over the past year – which Lynn has reported on several occasions.

Lynn is currently affiliated with the Santa Cruz Warriors, G-League of Golden State, and said he has been called a “coronavirus” on the court by other players.

“Being an Asian American doesn’t mean we don’t experience poverty and racism,” Lynn said. “Being an NBA veteran of 9 years does not save me from being called ‘Coronavirus’ on the court.”
