Tiger Woods suffered injuries in a single car accident in Los Angeles on Tuesday and was taken to hospital by ambulance, According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Woods agent, Mark Steinberg, Issued a statement Noting that the 15-time major winner had retained a “multiple leg injury”, Woods was in surgery Tuesday afternoon. He is reportedly in “critical” condition at Woods Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.

The cause of the accident is being investigated. Los Angeles Times reported Woods was traveling “at a high rate of speed and lost control of the vehicle before crossing the center divider.” According to the LA County Sheriff Department, Woods was the only person in the car and had to be removed from the wreckage.
Justin Thomas, one of Woods’ closest friends on the PGA Tour, heard news of the crash before appearing in a virtual press conference ahead of this week’s WGC-Workday Championship.
“I mean, I’m sick to my stomach,” Thomas said. “It hurts to see a close friend of yours in an accident. Man, I hope she is fine. Just worry for your children, you know. I am sure they are struggling. “
Thomas also posted a follow-up tweet, stating that he was “looking forward to an amazing recovery.”

PGA Tour addresses accident With the following statement:
“We are made aware of Tiger Woods’ car accident today. We are awaiting further information after coming out of surgery. On behalf of the PGA Tour and our players, Tiger is in our prayers and will be fully supported as soon as he recovers. “
Woods was in Los Angeles over the weekend to host The Genesis Invitational, and was scheduled to be in the area on Monday and Tuesday for a golf digest shoot with former NBA star Dwayne Wade and comedian David Spade.
