The number of signatures on the petition calling for the removal of Kanye West as a headliner for Coachella 2022 continues to rise.

As of Monday afternoon, the Change.org petition – aptly titled “Remove Kanye from Coachella!” – has received over 25,000 signatures.

The online call-to-action originally launched last week by a user named Caramello Marie. The person argued that West’s social media attacks against his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, was the catalyst for the petition.

“We have watched Kanye harass, manipulate, and hurt Kim, Pete, and others for over a year now. No one seems to want to stand up to him, and the ones that do, he puts under fire as well,” the description reads.

“Most recently, he has been threatening actual bodily harm on others. This is ridiculous that he is allowed to freely do this. Coachella (along with other brand names that are still working with him) should be ashamed of themselves and should not be giving him any more of a platform.”

In the comments section, people backed up Marie’s reason to request West’s removal from the popular California music festival.

“The amount of abuse/veiled threats etc should not be celebrated/tolerated,” a female user wrote.

The petition has a goal of 35,000 signatures as of Monday afternoon.

Another woman agreed, writing, ”Kanye is a narcissistic egotistical bully who thinks his money and celebrity give him a free pass to abuse, threaten, shame and defame others. Why he has been allowed to get away with this appalling behaviour for so long is a joke.”

West, 44, has also been called out publicly by notable names like D.L. Hughley and Trevor Noah. The “Daily Show” host highlighted how the Yeezy CEO’s posts shine “a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave.”

Over the weekend, the Grammys announced West would no longer be permitted to perform on their stage due to his “concerning online behavior.”

Reps for Coachella did not return Page Six’s request for comment on the petition and have not released a statement regarding West’s social media attacks.

In February, West himself threatened to drop out of the festival after he perceived co-headliner Billie Eilish’s attempt to help a fan at one of her concerts as a diss toward his pal Travis Scott, following the latter’s Astroworld tragedy.

“Come on Billie we love you,” Ye wrote in a since-deleted post, which was accompanied by a snapshot of the headline from RapSeaTV’s reporting of the alleged “diss” from Eilish. “Please apologize to Trav and to the families of the people who lost their lives.”

The “Bad Guy” singer responded on social media, “[I] literally never said a thing about travis. was just helping a fan.”

Coachella is set to take place from April 15 to April 24 in Indio, Calif.
