Katy Perry says daughter Daisy Dove Bloom, 1, loves playing dress-up

At just 19 months old, Daisy Dove Bloom is already shaping up to be a fashion plate like her famous mom.

“Today I put her in a gingham dress, and she loves coming out and presenting it. And everyone obviously has a reaction, and she loves the reaction,” Katy Perry tells Page Six Style exclusively of her baby daughter, whom she welcomed with fiancé Orlando Bloom in 2020.

“She’s always twirling … and she’s into putting on our shoes. I have hundreds of pairs of shoes, of course, because I’m a shoe designer. But she puts them on and she likes to slide around the house. And sometimes in daddy’s shoes [too]. It’s just really sweet.”

The “When I’m Gone” hitmaker founded her footwear line, Katy Perry Collections, in 2017 as a joint venture with Global Brands Group; after buying it back in 2021, she relaunched her company Tuesday with a new spring collection.

“[I wanted to] not have any anyone saying, ‘Oh, you know, not sure that that shoe is going to be what people want.’ People aren’t really sure what they want until they get it sometimes,” Perry tells Page Six Style of buying back her shoe brand.

And design nods to her little girl abound; a yet-to-be-released thong sandal features a beaded anklet with a daisy motif, while a woven slide ($89) is adorned with the same familiar floral motif.

“She’s my everything muse. She’s my whole heart. I’m just so grateful; she is really my gift,” Perry gushes of Daisy, adding that while she’s “dabbled” in designing baby shoes in the past, she’d love to launch a line for little ones “for real.”

Fans of Perry’s footwear creations can also shop new versions of her signature “Geli” sandals

($59), this time decorated with everything from gold seashells to tiny bananas at the toes.

“I’m really proud of how many inanimate objects we’ve put on a jelly,” Perry jokes.

Often, the inspiration for new pairs stems from the pop star’s music; she’s currently working on a version topped with red mushrooms as a nod to one of the standout looks from her Las Vegas residency, “Play.”

The challenge? Every pair of “Gelis” is scented to mirror its motif.

“We tried to make it a truffle smell, and it did not turn out OK,” she recalls.

She’d likely have even more trouble making shoes to match the much-discussed dancing poop that pops out of a giant toilet during her Sin City shows; “If I do a poo shoe, it’s not going to smell like s—t,” Perry promises.

Despite her “very colorful, very costumey, very quirky” onstage style, the star’s been stepping out in markedly sleeker and edgier looks recently, from the cutout Mugler catsuit she chose for her January “SNL” appearance to the brown faux leather coat-and-pant combo by Rotate Birger Christensen she wore during a round of press in NYC in February.

“I’ve never worn black or brown as much as I have been lately,” she says. “I’m 37 and there’s something about just making it look sophisticated and streamlined and sexy, you know?”

But when it comes to her playful performance costumes — and shoe designs, for that matter — don’t expect Perry to tone things down anytime soon.

“I know what the people want, and I know where I came from,” she says. “I always want to put a good show on.”

Plus, she adds: “I take fashion risks all the time, but I never have any regrets.”
