It’s not all diamonds, but it’s a lot of rosé.
Lisa Rinna is worried about her best friend Erika Jayne, claiming in the Season 12 trailer for “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” that the singer has been mixing alcohol with antidepressants.
“You take your antidepressants or you drink, but you can’t do both,” Rinna says to someone off-camera over a glass of wine.
The teaser also shows Jayne catching up with Garcelle Beauvais, who tells her, “Last couple times I saw you, you were a little tipsy.”
The video then cuts to Jayne, 50, enjoying one cocktail after another before standing with her arm wrapped around Rinna, 58, and saying, “Oops!” as she falls to a couch and takes her co-star down with her.
“Oh, my God, I’m lit,” she says in another scene while sitting down with her head tilted up and black sunglasses covering her eyes.
The last two scenes show Jayne holding a cocktail while laughing and dancing.
The “XXpen$ive” performer revealed to the ladies on the last season of “RHOBH” that she had been prescribed the antidepressant Lexapro amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Like all of us, I’m busy all the time, and when I came home from New York, it was really silent,” Jayne said, referring to her brief stint in “Chicago” on Broadway. “And then when I didn’t have anything to do, I was walking the halls of the house, and I couldn’t sleep, and I couldn’t shake it, and I couldn’t shake it.”
She added that she was feeling “incredible dread” and “dreaded waking up” every day.
“I called a psychiatrist, and I went on Lexapro. It’s an antidepressant. And it’s the greatest thing ever,” she shared. “I did not want to have to see a psychiatrist. I felt that it was a sign of defeat.”
The Pretty Mess Hair founder has not publicly addressed her antidepressant usage since the episode aired in May 2021.
According to Silver Maple Recovery, a rehab center near Cleveland, mixing alcohol and Lexapro “should be avoided due to potentially dangerous side effects. Even a small amount of alcohol can lead to a large amount of unpleasant effects. Mixing these two substances may actually lead to heightened symptoms of depression and anxiety.”
