Aaron Rodgers’ recent appearances on “The Pat McAfee Show” haven’t been without ridicule and scrutiny. He appeared on the show last week amid news he wasn’t vaccinated against COVID-19, spouting off on several other issues in the process.
He stopped by the show again to offer an apology on Tuesday, saying he was sorry if he misled anyone when he said he was “immunized” against the coronavirus in a late-August news conference.

While the substance of his apology was picked apart by critics, it wasn’t the only thing people noticed about his appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show.”
His wardrobe also got taken to task as he donned a hoodie with “The Rise of Skywalker” — the final entry of the most recent “Star Wars” trilogy — emblazoned on the front. One of the franchise’s biggest stars, Mark Hamill, who plays the titular Luke Skywalker, took issue not with the sweatshirt, but rather its association with Rodgers and his continued comments on COVID.

Hamill joins a growing list of Rodgers critics, which already includes Howard Stern, Terry Bradshaw and “Saturday Night Live.” State Farm also reportedly cut down on Rodgers commercials on Sunday, and Green Bay-based Prevea Health cut ties with the Packers quarterback.
Rodgers wound up missing Sunday’s game against Kansas City due to his positive COVID test, forcing Jordan Love into his first career start. The Packers lost 13-7 as Love completed 19 of 34 passes for 190 yards and a touchdown and interception.
It remains to be seen if Rodgers will come off the COVID list this week against Seattle — he is eligible to return to the team no sooner than Saturday — or if it’ll once again be Love taking snaps under center.
