Mets acquiring A's All-Star pitcher Chris Bassitt in trade

The Mets added another arm to their rotation Saturday.

In need of pitching depth, the Mets traded for the A’s Chris Bassitt, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed. They sent minor leaguers JT Ginn and Adam Oller to Oakland.

Bassitt, 33, recorded a 12-4 record with a 3.15 ERA in 27 starts with the A’s last year, striking out 25 percent of batters he faced. Throughout his seven-year career, he owns a 31-25 recored and 3.47 ERA.

The 22-year-old year Ginn is the Mets’ No. 5 prospect according to MLB.com. Adam Oller, 27, is not as highly regarded a prospect.

Bassitt, who is due to make $8.8 million this season, is entering the final year of his contract.
