The Mets should fight more often – or whatever they do on Friday nights – if this is the result.
The dugout was added to the club house on Friday after franchises Lindor and Jeff McNeill had some sort of incident in the tunnel on Saturday night, both helping the Mets gain a 3–0 early lead over the Diamondbacks.
McNeill hit a two-run shot in the bottom of the third inning and Lindor raced around to draw a walk, steal second base, and score on a throwing error from catcher Carson Kelly. It was his first stolen base as a mate, and the 100th of his career.
Friday night, Lindor pulled the Mets with a two-run shot, his first City field home run, from behind him, a 10-inning, 5-4 win.
After the game, Lindor and McNeill made fun of whatever happened, saying that they saw a rat or a raccoon in the tunnel and were arguing about it, although it is still clear that the ruckus has any Had nothing to do with wild animals.
Manager Louis Rojas and acting general manager Zac Scott disputed the two on Saturday, and Scott described the rat-raccoon’s story as “not ideal”.
