Microsoft Edge gets a fast startup feature and vertical tab

Microsoft is making some new improvements to its Edge browser this month. While the software maker announced the vertical tab almost a year ago, the feature is finally making its way to all Edge users this month. You will be able to stack tabs on the browser side instead of the traditional long list of tabs at the top.

The vertical tab feature looks ideal for a 16: 9 screen, and you can click to switch something together in a tab or group. This comes just weeks after Microsoft implemented the Sleeping Tabs feature in Edge, designed to automatically release system resources for inactive tabs when you have a large amount of tabs open. This prevents the Edge tab from hijacking memory and CPU resources.
