NASA released new images on Wednesday, showing a grand panorama of Mars taken by its neo-ground persistence rover.
The Rover’s Mastcam-Z camera system took 142 images when it landed on the Red Planet on Sunday.
The first high-definition photographs of the planet show the rim of the Jhero Crater, a prehistoric lake believed to contain water and life billions of years ago.
“It’s spectacular, it’s dusty, and we love it! This high-definition panoramic image from NASA Perseverance’s Mastcam-Z shows the rim of the Gizero crater and the rock face of an ancient river delta in the distance, ” NASA wrote On Instagram.
The agency released a video of its landing on Monday – including a child-terror “seven-minute panic” when it had to contend with odd conditions to enter the atmosphere.
