‘Obi Van Kenobi’ on Disney, Nanziani, adds NXIVM Survivor

The “Star Wars” family continues to grow.

The upcoming Disney + series “Obi-Wan Kenbibi” added several new cast members on Monday. Evan McGregor was already set to return as the title character and Hayden Christenson would play Anakin Skywalker (aka Darth Vader) for the first time since 2005’s “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith”.

The pair will feature new buffalo Kumail Nanjiani, Moshe Ingram, Joel Ederton, Indira Verma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessel and “Uncut James” co-director Benny Safi.

Also appearing on the TV show will be Bonnie Piese, who played Luke Skywalker’s Auntie Beru in prequel films, but was known as a survivor and critic of the NXIVM sex cult. She appeared in the HBO documentary series “The Wave”.

“Obi-Wan Kenobi” is one of 10 new “Star Wars” series on “Disney”, with the popular “Mandalorian” this year. 10 years of events from the show “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith” The latter would be established when Anakin became the Skywalker Sith Lord Darth Vader.

Shooting of the series will begin in April and its Disney + premiere date has not yet been announced.
