Beijing, October 31: OnePlus 13 is finally launched in China after much anticipation. The flagship smartphone by OnePlus comes with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite and offers a significant performance boost compared to its predecessor, OnePlus 12. This makes it the fourth smartphone launched in China with the flagship processor. Recently, the Xiaomi 15 series, HONOR Magic 7 series, and iQOO 13 were launched in the Chinese smartphone market with the same processor. 

Design-wise, the new OnePlus 13 is the same as the predecessor, having the same camera module design; however, it comes with a larger 6,000mAh battery. The new OnePlus flagship smartphone featuring the latest Snapdragon processor has been introduced in the Chinese market with many upgrades. The display retains the same 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits of peak brightness. OnePlus 13 Specifications and Features 

OnePlus 12 successor retains the same Sony LYT-808 as the last year for its primary camera. The device gets a 50MP ultrawide camera with a Samsung JN1 sensor offering a 114-degree field of view and a 50MP periscope camera with a Sony LYT-600 sensor offering 3x optical zoom. The smartphone has a 32 MP selfie camera, like the OnePlus 12.  

In terms of power, the device includes a 6,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. The wired charging can power up the device from 0% to 100% in less than 30 minutes. OnePlus 13 also comes with a magnetic charging option, similar to MagSafe available in iPhones. 

OnePlus 13 offers standard features like Bluetooth 5.4 version, Wi-Fi 7, USB type-C 3.2 port, NFC, and an IP68+69 rating to protect against dust and water. The smartphone runs on Android 15, powered by ColorOS, offering various features like Intelligence Search, Quick Setting changes, and a host of new AI features.

The OnePlus 13 with 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 4.0 is launched in China at a starting price of CNY 4,499 (around INR 53,300). The price for its 12GB+512GB variant is CNY 4,899 (around INR 57,800). The 16GB+512GB and 16GB+1TB variants are priced at CNY 5,299 (around INR 62,500) and CNY 5,999 (around INR 70,800) in the China market. The smartphone may be announced soon in India. The company may introduce it in January 2025, with the same launch timeline as the OnePlus 12.

New Delhi, October 30: OpenAI is reportedly working towards developing its first in-house AI chip by 2026 to reduce its dependency on external suppliers for AI hardware. The company is said to be collaborating with two of the biggest names in the semiconductor industry, Broadcom and TSMC for the project.

According to reports, OpenAI depends on computing power to train and run its artificial intelligence models. The ChatGPT maker is one of the customers of Nvidia’s graphics processing units (GPUs). As per a report of Digit, OpenAI is planning to create its first artificial intelligence chip by 2026. At first, the company thought about setting up its own manufacturing facility, called “foundries,” to make these chips. Reports suggest that after considering the expenses and the amount of time it would take to establish such a manufacturing plant, it seems that OpenAI decided to drop the idea. They later chose to design the chips themselves instead of setting up the manufacturing facility.

Bengaluru, October 29: Enterprises expect an average boost of 15 per cent in productivity from their current artificial intelligence (AI) projects, with some even anticipating up to 40 per cent gains, a report said on Tuesday.

However, only two per cent of organisations are ready across all five key dimensions: talent, strategy, governance, data, and technology, according to the research from the Infosys Knowledge Institute (IKI), the research arm of Infosys. New Delhi, October 29: Leading appliance maker LG Electronics India reported a 12.35 per cent rise in profit to Rs 1,511.1 crore for FY24, and its revenue from operations grew 7.48 per cent to Rs 21,352 crore, according to financial data accessed by the business intelligence platform Tofler. The company, which is not publicly listed, had posted a profit after tax at Rs 1,344.9 crore and its revenue from operations stood at Rs 19,864.6 crore for the financial year that ended in March, 2023.

LG Electronics India’s total income for FY24 increased 7.2 per cent to Rs 21,557.1 crore, while its revenue from other income sources registered a 16 per cent decline at Rs 205.1 crore. Pune, October 28: Tata Technologies on Monday reported over 3 per cent decrease in net profit (quarter-on-quarter) at Rs 157.41 crore in Q2 FY25 from 162.03 crore in Q1 FY25, or over 1.5 per cent down from the year-ago period (Rs 160.38 crore).

The leading global engineering services company reported operating revenue at Rs 1,296 crore, up 2.1 per cent YoY and 2.2 per cent QoQ. Services segment revenue stood at Rs 1,005 crore, an increase of 1 per cent YoY and 2 per cent QoQ. “Our Services business has returned to sequential growth this quarter with a 2 per cent increase in revenue.
