Trevor Bauer did not imagine it when he signed with the Dodgers.
He was expected to win – lots of it – and early returns were not favorable. The defending World Series champions were not going to contend so strongly.
“I am annoyed,” said Bauer on Sunday after the Dodgers lost to the Angels, in which the right-handed batsman gave up two runs in six innings.
“I hate to spread hatred. That is why I have come here. We are not fulfilling our potential. I am Mad. I am not going to speak for anyone else.
“You could say it’s early and there’s no need to panic, and that’s all true. At the end of the day, we don’t just roll out bats and balls and win baseball games. We try to win the division and Not going on your way to win the World Series again. How it works. You went out there and beat someone every day. We are not good at it and we need to get better.
Bauer was not part of last season’s Dodgers team that captured the franchise’s first World Series since 1988. Bauer signed a three-year, $ 102 million deal with the Dodgers in the offers after flirting with the MOT during his free agency process.
The Dodgers got off to a hot start, winning 13 of their first 15 matches, but went on to win the difficult period. They have lost 15 of their last 20 matches to fall in just one game .500.
This is hardly Bauer’s fault. He has a 2.50 ERA, though only a 3–2 record.
