Ringo Starr was recently spotted bespectacled in a pair of round shades while hitting the streets of Los Angeles in a look reminiscent of his Beatles bandmate, John Lennon.
The 81-year-old drummer, born Richard Starkey, rocked the tinted, round frames in the City of Angels while heading to a business meeting in West Hollywood.
In addition to wearing frames similar to those made famous by the late Beatles frontman, Starr kept it casual in a white denim jacket, Adidas track pants and sneakers.
The notoriously private musician was joined that afternoon by wife, former “Bond girl” Barbara Bach, who looked chic in all black, wearing a long sleeve shirt, sweatpants, sneakers and sunglasses with her long blond locks blowing in the breeze.
While the couple, who’ve been married since 1981, don’t share any biological children, Starr shares three adult children with ex-wife, Maureen Starkey. Bach also has kids of her own, sharing her two children with first husband, Italian businessman Augusto Gregorini.
Starr’s latest project is new coffee table book, “Lifted: Fab Images and Memories in My Life With the Beatles From Across the Universe,” sharing via his publisher’s website, “I am not writing this book as a Beatle historian. I’m writing this book as a Beatle — and there’s only a couple of us who can do that.”
He meant that quite literally, as he and Paul McCartney are the only living members of the iconic group. Lennon was shot and killed by obsessed fan, Mark David Chapman, in 1980 while George Harrison lost his battle with lung cancer in 2001.
