Steve Cohen revealed in Francisco Lindor’s big Mets home run

Francis Lindor’s clutch home run gave a blow to the Mets and agitated the man who cut his check.

The one-time slapping Mets shortstop left a 2–2 pitch from the Diamondbacks’ reliever Caleb Smith, who stood for a two-run homer that equalized the score at 4-4 on Friday night. The explosion drove fans out of their seats and certainly excited Mets owner Steve Cohen.

“He was big,” Cohen tweeted.

Lindor, whom Cohen had awarded a 10-year, $ 341 million contract in March, was 0-26- until he sang in his final at-bat in the Mets’ win over the Cardinals on Thursday. 26 was in recession. His home run on Friday was his second hit of the night. Lindor, who was 2-for-4 through seven innings, singled in the third and later scored in a Michael Conforto single.
