Jey Uso delivered a warning to Roman Reigns ahead of The Bloodline Civil War match at WWE Money in the Bank on July 1.

The Bloodline’s storyline has captivated the WWE Universe, but the group appears to be falling apart at the seams. Roman Reigns disrespected The Usos for losing the Undisputed Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania. This led to Jimmy Uso snapping at Night of Champions and superkicking Reigns. Jey followed his brother and turned his back on The Bloodline a few weeks later.

Speaking with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, Jey Uso noted that they have fallen in line for The Tribal Chief for long enough, and there is only so much a man can take.

“I fell in line three years ago Uce, we fell in line now, obviously it is not enough for “The Big Uce” [Roman Reigns]. I feel like it is just time, a person can only take so much, right Uce? Three years ago, maybe I didn’t have the courage to speak up for myself. My brother [Jimmy] is the one who set the tone for me. The biggest difference from three years to now man, is I got strength with me, I’ve got my brother with me,” said Jey Uso. [01:42 – 02:15]

Jey Uso then warned Roman Reigns that he is going to be humbled at WWE Money in the Bank.

“I’m just ready to put one of these chapters to an end right now. The Tribal Chief needs to get humbled,” he added. [02:22 – 02:30]

Roman Reigns forced Jey Uso to fall in line at WWE Hell in a Cell 2020

The Bloodline’s popularity reached a fever pitch once Sami Zayn joined the faction, but the storyline had been going for years prior to The Honorary Uce.

At WWE Hell in a Cell 2020, Roman Reigns and Jey Uso battled in an I Quit Hell in a Cell match. The Tribal Chief resorted to brutally attacking Jimmy Uso until Jey said, “I quit” to spare his brother. Reigns was then blessed by the elders of the family, and The Usos allied with The Tribal Chief following the match.

Roman Reigns has successfully been able to get Jimmy and Jey Uso to fall in line in the past but has been unable to do so following WWE WrestleMania 39. It will be interesting to see which side emerges victorious during The Bloodline Civil War tomorrow at WWE Money in the Bank.

CBP chief says border encounters will rise with Title 42 end

Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Chris Magnus admitted Monday that lifting the Trump-era policy commonly known as Title 42 will “likely” cause an “increase in encounters” with illegal immigrants along the southern border — with agents already overwhelmed by current migration levels.

“As a result of the CDC’s termination of its Title 42 public health order, we will likely face an increase in encounters above the current high levels,” Magnus said in a statement outlining the agency’s plan for the anticipated influx.

“There are a significant number of individuals who were unable to access the asylum system for the past two years, and who may decide that now is the time to come,” he added.

“We are doing everything we can to prepare for this increase, ensure we continue to process people humanely, and impose consequences on those who break the law,” Magnus went on. “At the same time, we will continue to use all available resources to secure our borders.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Friday that it would terminate Title 42 on May 23, ending the two-year-long policy that has allowed the summary expulsion of nearly 2 million migrants.

Since the onset of the COVID pandemic in the US in March 2020, border officials have used Title 42 to immediately expel migrants who attempt to enter the country — without allowing them a chance to claim asylum.

In winding up the policy, the CDC cited “current public health conditions and an increased availability of tools to fight COVID-19” for its reasoning behind the decision.

The order will remain in place for the next seven weeks while the Biden administration scrambles to “implement appropriate COVID-19 mitigation protocols, such as scaling up a program to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to migrants and prepare for resumption of regular migration”.

Recent reports have indicated that the lifting of Title 42 could bring a wave of up to 170,000 migrants attempting to enter the US this spring, with hundreds already marching north through Mexico and many camped out at ports of entry along the border.

Last week, with rumors spreading that the policy was to be scrapped, law enforcement officials along the border insisted that the Biden administration had no plan to deal with the aftermath.

“We have received no guidance at all,” National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd told The Post Friday after the CDC announcement that Title 42 would come to an end. “Not only that, but they didn’t even bother telling us, so we had to learn about it from the news, just like everybody else.”

“We don’t have enough information on what those plans are … assuming they exist,” Border Patrol agent Jon Anfinsen agreed. “We don’t even know what to tell [agents] what to expect. We’re already in a position where things are as bad as they have ever been. To think they’re going to get worse, it’s hard to quantify that.”

On Monday, Magnus announced CBP planned on “shifting” some officers and Border Patrol agents and increasing the number of ICE personnel working along the border.

The CBP leader also said his agency would use volunteers from elsewhere in the Department of Homeland Security to process those apprehended by agents, as well as increase the number of Border Patrol Processing Coordinators and contractors.

Magnus also promised that CBP would work to “more efficiently” track migrant movements and “work closely with foreign governments to conduct joint enforcement operations.”

Additionally, he said the agency will use social media in an attempt to “educate and warn migrants” of traveling to the border with human smugglers.

In February, the most recent month for which official numbers are available, the number of illegal immigrants stopped along the southwestern border shot up to nearly 165,000 — an increase of 6.6% over January, and 63.2% over the previous year. That year, the number of apprehensions peaked in July at more than 213,000.

Kamala Harris’ deputy chief of staff the latest aide to depart veep’s office

Vice President Kamala Harris’ deputy chief of staff has joined the growing list of departures from her office, the White House confirmed Monday.

Michael Fuchs will remain in his role until early May to “ensure a smooth transition,” and will formally announce his future plans at a later date, according to an internal email.

“It’s been the honor of a lifetime to serve in this administration, working for the Vice President and President on behalf of the American people,” Fuchs wrote.

“Fifteen months later, it’s almost difficult to recall the magnitude of the challenges we faced when we came in, from an unprecedented pandemic to historically difficult economic circumstances. And it is thanks to the work of this administration — and all of you — that our country has had such success in tackling these challenges and turning things around.”

A White House official confirmed Fuchs’ departure to The Post.

“The Vice President is grateful for Michael’s tireless work, leadership, and the many miles he traveled domestically and internationally as we lifted up families and strengthened relationships with allies abroad,” Harris communications director Jamal Simmons said. “Our entire team will miss Michael as he begins this next chapter.”

Fuchs’ announcement marks the 11th departure from the vice president’s staff since June. Previous staffers to leave include director of digital strategies Rajun Kaur, director of advance Karly Satkowiak, deputy director of advance Gabrielle DeFranceschi, communications director Ashley Etienne, chief spokesperson Symone Sanders, director of press operations Peter Velz, deputy director of public engagement Vince Evans, speechwriting director Kate Childs Graham, deputy press secretary Sabrina Singh, and national security adviser Nancy McEldowney.

Etienne and Sanders have since been replaced in their respective roles by Simmons and Kirsten Allen.

Fuchs previously worked as a foreign policy adviser under President Bill Clinton and served in multiple senior roles at the State Department during the Obama administration.

The White House has also confirmed the hiring of Meghan Groob to be the vice president’s new chief speechwriter. Groob will be replacing Graham, who left in February.

Groob previously worked as an editorial director at Gates Ventures and as a speechwriter for Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. She also worked as the director of speechwriting for then-Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker during the Obama administration.

It is not uncommon for staffers in the White House to shift positions during and after the first year of an administration, particularly ahead of the midterm elections.

However, questions have been raised as many of last year’s departures from the vice president’s office coincided with growing criticism over her reported treatment of staff.

The White House has insisted the departures are in keeping with usual levels of Washington churn.

“Working in the first year of a White House is exciting and rewarding but it’s also grueling and exhausting,” press secretary Jen Psaki said following the departures of Sanders and Etienne late last year.

“If you look at past precedent, it’s natural for staffers who have thrown their heart and soul into a job to be ready to move on to a new challenge after a few years and that is applicable to many of these individuals,” she added.

Psaki herself is reportedly preparing to leave the administration in May for a hosting gig with MSNBC.

She declined to confirm the move on Friday, telling reporters, “you can’t get rid of me yet.”

“I have nothing to confirm about my length of public service or planned service, or anything about consideration about next plans,” she added.

It is unclear who will replace Psaki on the White House podium.

Google’s ex-HR chief says ‘hybrid’ work model won’t last

Google’s “hybrid” work schedule won’t last because executives want to push employees back into the office full-time, according to the tech giant’s former human resources chief.

Starting on Monday, Google is ordering most employees back into the office three days per week. Some “Googlers” will be required to work in-person for more than three days each week, while others will be allowed to work remotely forever.

Google says the policy “balances the best of being together in person and being anywhere” — but the company’s former HR head, Laszlo Bock, doesn’t think it will last.

Bock told Bloomberg that “Googlers” who come into the office less frequently will be at a disadvantage for promotions, pay bumps and desirable assignments.

He added that executives at Google and other large companies are itching to get employees to their desks.

“’We’ll get everyone back into the office eventually,’” Bock claimed one executive recently told him. “’I just don’t want to pick that fight now.’”

Bock predicted hybrid work at Google would last three to five years before employees are back in the office full-time.

Google did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In a sign Google is doubling down on office work, the company announced last year that it’s buying a massive $2.1 billion campus in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan. It was the largest New York City building sale since 2018, when Google bought Chelsea Market for $2.8 billion.

Google’s return-to-office plan is less strict than Apple, which is requiring all employees to return for three days per week with few exemptions. The policy has caused some Apple employees to threaten to quit.

Meta, meanwhile, is allowing employees to apply to work remotely forever, while Amazon is leaving decisions up to individual teams.

Wolverine’s Master Chief boots are for true Halo fanatics

Wolverine wants to help fans finish their fight in style. The boot company has teamed up with to create rugged limited-edition footwear inspired by Master Chief.

Halo developer worked with Wolverine for over a year to design the boot, which is based on the company’s Hellcat footwear. Wolverine says when it revealed the Hellcat in August 2020, many people noted that the safety toe made the boot look like it was straight out of the Halo universe.

The snappily named Wolverine x Halo: The Master Chief boot has rubber lug outsoles for grip and an UltraSpring high rebound midsole, which Wolverine claims will provide wearers with a “lightweight, energized ride.” It’s made with full-grain leather and there’s a hook and loop cover for the laces.

The footwear comes in the green of Master Chief’s armor and has his Spartan number, 117, on the heel of the left boot. The boots also feature the United Nations Space Command and the logo of the Materials Group, which made Master Chief’s armor. For better or worse, the footwear certainly catches the eye.

A pair will cost $225 and you’ll be able to buy them at noon Eastern time on March 29th from . You’ll probably need to act fast (and get lucky) if you want to wear the boots while racking up frags in or kicking back and watching the . Wolverine is only making 117 pairs of them.

These boots aren’t the only Xbox-related footwear to hit the streets in recent months. At the tail end of 2021, Adidas of sneakers modeled after Xbox consoles to mark the brand’s 20th anniversary.

Putin blocked Russia’s central bank chief from quitting over Ukraine war

The head of Russia’s central bank reportedly wanted to resign from her post within the last several weeks – only for Russian President Vladimir Putin to refuse her request and force her to remain as Western nations implemented crippling economic sanctions.

Elvira Nabiullina, who has worked closely with Putin to shape Russia’s economic policy for more than two decades, tried to quit shortly after the Kremlin ordered its unprovoked invasion of Ukraine.

But Putin blocked the move and Nabiullina was nominated last week for another five-year term leading Russia’s central bank.

While Nabiullina’s current views on the war are unclear, the sanctions imposed by the US and other countries have crippled the Russian economy, caused the ruble’s value to crater and put Russia at risk of defaulting on its debt obligations.

Any future attempt by Nabiullina to leave her role would be viewed as a betrayal of Putin, who is under immense international pressure to halt the invasion, Bloomberg reported, citing sources with knowledge of the situation. Nabiullina has yet to publicly comment on her renomination.

So far, just one prominent Putin adviser has resigned from their post following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Anatoly Chubais stepped down as Russia’s climate envoy and has fled the country, according to Bloomberg.

The Central Bank of Russia has scrambled to stabilize the country’s collapsing economy following the sanctions – which included the ejection of key Russian banks from the SWIFT international payments system and a US ban on Russian oil and gas imports. Countless Western companies have exited Russia since the invasion began.

Russia’s main stock exchange resumed limited trading Wednesday for the first time in nearly a month after sanctions prompted a crash.

The chaotic economic situation has led to turnover at the Central Bank of Russia itself – with IT staffers reportedly struggling to keep pace with account terminations due to the sheer number of employees who have left their posts.

In a March 2 video to central bank employees, Nabiullina purportedly warned against “political debates” and described Russia’s economic conditions as “extreme” – while acknowledging that “all of us would have wanted for this not to happen,” according to Bloomberg.

Putin asserts that Russia is equipped to thrive despite the sanctions and has pledged to take retaliatory economic action against countries participating in the crackdown. Measures to date have included an easing of intellectual property protections for Western companies that were active in Russia.

The isolated Russian president also demanded Wednesday that “unfriendly countries” pay for Russian oil and gas in rubles. The European Union is highly dependent on Russian energy.

MTA taps Andy Byford replacement after 2 years as interim chief

The MTA has finally hired a replacement for former Transit President Andy Byford, after 25 months without a permanent leader at the helm of New York’s massive bus and subway system.

Richard Davey, the former Massachusetts Secretary of Transportation from 2011 to 2014, will take over on May 2 as president of the 55,000-person New York City Transit Authority, managing the day-to-day operations of subways, buses and paratransit within the city, MTA Chairman Janno Lieber said in an announcement on Wednesday.

Davey, 48, also previously served in leadership roles at Boston’s Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, as well as in the private sector. He lived in New York during the Sept. 11 attacks and has not owned a car “in 12 years,” the MTA said.

“Living in New York during 9/11 was a seminal moment in my life,” Davey said in a statement. “My experience being a New Yorker that day at that time is why I am coming back, because public service and more importantly public transportation is so important to me.”

Current Interim Transit President Craig Cipriano, who took over the role in August, will serve as New York City Transit Chief Operating Officer under Davey, the statement said.

Cipriano took the interim role from Sarah Feinberg, a former Obama administration official who led the agency during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Feinberg herself succeeded Byford — whose media-savvy approach to the role earned him the adoration of the riding public and scorn of then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Under Byford’s leadership, the subways hit their highest on-time performance in six years. He also set in motion the MTA modernization plan currently being pursued by his successors. But Cuomo reviled sharing the spotlight and sent him packing.

Cuomo made the job “intolerable,” Byford said in an interview with WCBS-TV shortly before returning home to the United Kingdom in March of 2020.

He accused the governor’s team of going behind his back and reducing his role after Byford called for an “independent review” of Cuomo’s plan to avert the L train shutdown.

“I found myself excluded from meetings that were absolutely about the day-to-day running of New York City Transit,” Byford said at the time. “The governor is the boss, the governor runs the MTA. But at the end of the day, I needed to be left to run the system.”

Morgan Stanley chief advises selling after stock market rally

Morgan Stanley’s chief investment officer warned that last week’s stock-market surge was an economic calm before the storm — and that investors should take the opportunity to sell.

In a note to clients, Mike Wilson — who is also the firm’s Chief US Equity Strategist and Chair of the Global Investment Committee — said last week’s brief bump in stock prices was “nothing more than a vicious bear market rally,” according to a copy of the report obtained by The Post.

Wilson suggested in his note late last week that the US is nearing the end of a “late-cycle expansion phase,” or the conclusion of a growth cycle that comes right before a contraction.

“While it may not be completely finished, it is a rally to sell.” Wilson said. “Bear market rallies are the most vicious.”

And he encouraged investors to take a “defensive” strategy when it comes to investing. The equities team recommended buying utilities stocks which they believe will outperform in future.

The note comes after the S&P concluded its best week since 2020 — gaining 6.2% in a single week. Still, the index has slumped roughly 6% this year and Morgan Stanley analysts in Europe dropped their expectations for the index from 10% to 3% this year.

And even as the Federal Reserve raised rates last week and indicated a tighter stance on monetary policy, inflation continues to skyrocket. In February, the pace of inflation hit a four-decade high. Other global pressures like Russia’s invasion of Ukraine are causing uncertainty in markets as well.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average on Monday was recently off 176.56 points, or 0.51%, at 34,578.37. The S&P 500 was off 0.2 percent at 4,454.95. The Nasdaq was off 0.8 percent at 13,778.24.

Top Russian naval chief born in Kyiv killed in battle: report

A top Russian military official who was born in Kyiv but renounced Ukraine has been killed on the front lines, according to posts on Russian social media.

Andrey Paliy, 51, a Black Sea fleet commander, was shot dead by Ukrainian forces near the embattled city of Mariupol, making him the first Russian naval boss and sixth high-up military leader to die since the Kremlin invasion of Ukraine started last month.

Konstantin Tsarenko, who used to work with Paliy at the Russian Naval School in Sevastopol, announced the sea commander’s death on V Kontakte, a Russian social-media site, the Telegraph reported.

Tsarenko has since deleted the post, but Igor Savostin, a former naval officer, also posted about Paliy’s death, according to the paper.

Paliy died “like a true commissar by leading the marines into battle,” Savostin wrote.

The naval chief was born in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, but pledged his allegiance to the Kremlin after the fall of the Soviet Union, moving to Russia and joining its navy, the Telegraph said. He was likely involved in Russia’s 2014 invasion of Crimea and was stationed on the Black Sea.

His death has not been confirmed by Russian authorities, and the exact day he died is unknown.

Chechen chief calls Elon Musk ‘effeminate’ after offer to fight Putin

The head of the Chechen Republic has called Elon Musk “effeminate” and said the Tesla titan would be out of his league in hand-to-hand combat against Vladimir Putin.

On Monday, Musk pitched a bizarre offer to fight the Russian president to settle the war in Ukraine.

“Elon Musk, a word of advice. Don’t measure your strength against that of Putin’s. You are in two completely different leagues,” Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov wrote in a lengthy and sarcastic Telegram post.

After dubbing Musk “effeminate,” Kadyrov suggested that the Tesla founder train at the Russian Special Forces University, Akhmat Fight Club and the Chechen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company to prep for the hypothetical match.

“You will return from the Chechen Republic a completely different person Elona, that is, Elon,” Kadyrov wrote, using the female version of Musk’s name.
