Texas actor accused of beating police with crutches in Capitol riot

According to the FBI, an ambitious Texas actor has been accused of using crutches to beat a policeman during the Capitol Hill riot in January.

Luke Coffey, 41, faces charges of assault of a federal law enforcement officer with a criminal weapon and disorderly conduct at the Capitol grounds for being part of a nuisance mob. Received by Daily Beast.

Coffey was identified as appearing in the video wearing a cowboy hat, camouflage jacket and blue bandana carrying crutches on the Capital Steps.

He can be seen holding the object on his head before charging at a crowd of DC and Capitol police officers, according to the FBI.

The complaint further alleged that he bitten a policeman with crutches on his chest and head, and then passed the weapon to the rioters, who used it to attack other officers.

Coffee’s social media page shows that he is a Donald Trump supporter and holds the principles of QAnon’s conspiracy.

The Daily Beast reported that the day before the riot, Coffey said in a YouTube video that “all hell is going to come loose tomorrow.”

After the riots, Coffey continued his rint online saying, “I was ready to die last night. We thought we were, we were all set. And I literally thought that I was being put to death like I was in Nazi Germany, a Jew was put to death. good G,” According to Dallas news outlet Central Track.

Coffee has appeared on numerous TV shows including “Murder Made Me Famous,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Las Vegas,” and others. IMDB page says.

The Justice Department has charged more than 200 people with a storm on the Capitol during an uprising that left five dead, including a Capitol officer.
