The razor blade 15 base is $ 500 from today, but the Asus Zephyrus G14 deal is the one I’d choose

Pop Quiz: Which is the better deal, $ 500 from a Razor Blade laptop, or $ 150 from an Asus Zephyrus G14? This may hinge on whether you need a web camera, as practically every other way is an Asus laptop that I would buy today.

This is not to say that anything in particular is wrong with the Razor Blade 15 base Unheard price of $ 1,099 on Amazon today (Regularly $ 1,599): Unlike the palette 256GB of solid state storage, you’re looking at a faster 6-core Core i7-10750H processor, the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics, which enable yesteryear’s biggest titles, 144Hz 1080p The screen must deal with, plus plenty of ports packed in a single black RGB aluminum chassis with single-zone RGB lighting. Bargain at midnight PT Sunday.

But for just $ 100 more, you can currently buy the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 for $ 1,199 on the best purchase, which happens to be the best ultraportable gaming laptop you can buy. Chip – plus 1TB SSD which should be able to make a decent selection of games really. It weighs just under 3.5 pounds; Compare 4.7 pounds for the razor.

It’s just based on the spec sheet: you can read our full review for more, or review our Razor Blade Stealth 13 where Asus still managed to get a new and lighter Razor laptop out of the water.

Asus ROG Zephyrus G14

Prices taken at the time of publication.

The ROG Zephyrus G14 is an amazingly powerful gaming laptop. Its AMD Ryzen 9 processor and RTX 2060 Max-Q with its 120Hz refresh rate display can outperform powerful, smooth graphics performance in games, while also being surprisingly efficient for other tasks.

All of that said, I can still easily see you with slightly more powerful graphics, a $ 100 affordable price, sleek profile, black-out design, or razor-picking for that all-important webcam.

And remember that none of these machines have the latest and greatest graphics: Nvidia’s RTX 30-series laptop GPUs are just barely starting to roll out. If you don’t need a new machine soon, it might be worth waiting a while to see what the RTX 3060 laptop can do for you.
