Members of the city’s theater community protested the Broadway chanting, “F-Scott Rudin,” on Thursday in working conditions, treatment of actors of color, and a recent protest Allegations of bullying and even physical assault by powerful producers
.
Several hundred theater-goers, actors and back-to-back activists joined the afternoon rally to demand better treatment about pay and diversity when Broadway reopened.
Dozens of people joined Rudin’s profane fabrication – which produced mega-hits including “The Book of Mormon” and “West Side Story” – as rally-goers marched from Columbus Circle to Washington Square Park.

“I think a theater where no tolerance for racism, sexism or assault is possible,” Jaime Spero of the hit showbiz series, told the crowd at Smash Columbus Circle.
