A thief rode a scooter in a Manhattan parking garage and then ejected into a stolen BMW – according to police, crashing it first through a metal gate in a brazen one caught in the video.
Surveillance footage taken from inside a former 34th Street parking garage at around 5:20 am on Thursday morning shows a grenade sedan passing through a corner, which passes through the garage door onto the street.
Police said the key was left in the car, which has been recovered.
Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the alleged thief, who is facing charges of grand larceny.
