Officials said three people died after crashing shortly after takeoff from Georgia’s airport.
The plane took off from Lee Gilmour Memorial Airport in Gainesville and was en route to Daytona Beach, Florida, when it fell into a ravine after 6pm on Friday evening, According to WTVD.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Dan Deloness, 44, Courtney Flanders, 45, and 39-year-old Matthew Deloness died on the spot.
A portion of the wing was lowered to a mobile home near the accident site, leaving a family of four vacant. No one was injured on the ground, WSB-TV reported.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the crash.
