Todd Chrisley doesn’t want to speak to daughter Lindsie

Todd Chrisley has no intention of reuniting with his daughter Lindsie because “the hurt is still there.”

“Lindsie sent me a text message a couple of weeks ago asking if we could sit down without our attorneys present and I’m not interested in that,” Todd, 52, told People Magazine this week.

“… Lindsie is my firstborn and I will love her until the day that I die but there are certain things in life that I don’t think you get past, and unfortunately I think that that’s where Lindsie and I are.”

Todd added that he doesn’t know anything about his daughter’s divorce from Will Campbell but that he wishes nothing but “joys and blessings” for her and Jackson, her 7-year-old son with Campbell.

“I don’t want any harm to come to her,” Chrisley said. “I pray every day for God to bless her, to move her on, to give her a full life.”

But Todd explained that he couldn’t look past the things his 31-year-old daughter had said about him and his family.

“The pain that she has caused not just to me but [my wife] Julie, you know, to her siblings … going on your podcast or your Instagram and saying that you don’t have a father,” he said.

“… Then questioning that I’m your biological father — are you saying that you hate the woman that you went to at 18 years old and asked to adopt you after she’s raised you since you were five?”

He continued, “These are things that she posted … you have to be careful because anger is a tricky thing. And if you hold onto the anger, it becomes almost like the fuel that allows it to get bigger and bigger and I just don’t have any anger anymore.”

Todd also claimed that Lindsie was the “catalyst” for his being investigated for tax evasion fraud. Todd and Julie were cleared by the state of Georgia on the tax fraud charges in 2019, but are still facing a 12-count federal indictment.

While Todd is no longer mad at Lindsie, he says the “hurt” is still there.

“I think that the hurt will always be there but I’m not looking to intrude into Lindsie’s life,” he said. “We’re leading a very full life and I wish nothing but the greatest of joys and blessings for Lindsie and for Jackson.”

Last week, Lindsie said she was “shocked” her father commented on her divorce via Instagram instead of privately contacting her.

“We do have each other’s numbers,” she noted.

In his post, Todd said that he was praying for his daughter following the news that she and Campbell were splitting up after nine years of marriage.

“I’m here. I love you. Whatever is going on in your life right now, I see it, and I’m working all things out for good, for you, my child,” he wrote on Instagram on July 28. “There is nothing you can do or have done that will make me ever love you less.”

Earlier this week, Todd also claimed that their family feud stemmed from Lindsie’s sister Savannah having more Instagram followers than her.

Lindsie and Campbell tied the knot in 2012 but separated briefly in 2014 and 2016. They also went through a rough patch in 2019 when Todd publicly accused Lindsie of having “extramarital relationships” with “Bachelorette” alums Robby Hayes and Josh Murray.

Todd shares Lindsie and son Kyle with his first wife, Teresa Terry. He later married Julie Chrisley in 1996, and they share three children together.
