Tokyo asks Beijing to stop anal swab test for COVID-19

Tokyo has asked Beijing to stop giving Japanese citizens anal anal swab tests upon entering China – because the test for COVID-19 causes mental anguish.

“Some Japanese reported to our embassy in China that they had received anal swab testing, which caused great psychological pain,” Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Ketsunobu Kato said at a news conference.

Kato said the government had not yet received a response from Beijing about changing the process, adding that it was not known how many Japanese citizens received such tests for coronovirus, Reuters reported .

Some cities in China were using anal samples to detect potential infections as the country took steps to ensure screening so that no possible infections occurred.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Beijing’s methods of testing were “science-based” and “in accordance with the state of the epidemic as well as changes to relevant laws and regulations.”

The Japanese request comes soon after the US has clamped down that the Chinese government has used anal swab to test American diplomats.

Beijing insisted that Butt had been investigated in “error”, although the Chinese Foreign Ministry also denied that US diplomats were required to undergo anal tests.

In January, State TV claimed that using the anal swab could avoid test-missed infection because viral traces in the fecal sample or anal swell were more than the respiratory tract doctor of Li Tongzheng, Beijing. Can stay for a long time.
