Tristan Thompson posts quote on not feeling guilty about past

Tristan Thompson isn’t going to let guilt get in the way of his future.

The Chicago Bulls player, who has been embroiled in his fair share of drama related to his constant infidelity in his now-former relationship with Khloé Kardashian, shared a cryptic quote to his Instagram Story Wednesday on not feeling bad about the past.

“Let the past guide you rather, than making you feel guilty,” the post began. “Let the future excite you, rather than making you feel anxious.

“Let the present be a gift to you to feel alive, rather than a curse that makes you live in the past or future.”

It is unclear what prompted Thompson’s Khloé-style post, but last week he made headlines once again when documents in his paternity lawsuit with Maralee Nichols leaked. The documents included text messages allegedly sent by Thompson to Nichols that claimed he was engaged to the Good American co-founder.

A source then confirmed to Page Six that the former couple were, in fact, engaged at one point, but Page Six broke the news in June 2021 that they had broken up for good following his cheating scandal with Instagram model Sydney Chase.

“Let the past guide you rather, than making you feel guilty,” he said, perhaps alluding to his tryst with Maralee Nichols.

Kardashian, 37, has since distanced himself from Thompson, 31, entirely — save for co-parenting exchanges involving their 3-year-old daughter, True — in light of the fact that he welcomed a child with Nichols despite initially denying it.

“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you,” he wrote in an Instagram statement of admission after a paternity test provided its results. “You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years.”

The athlete went on to say that his actions “certainly have not lined up” with his personal view of the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum.

“I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think,” he added. “Again, I am so incredibly sorry.”

Thompson is also dad to 5-year-old son Prince with ex Jordan Craig.
