Former President Donald Trump predicted on Tuesday night that Tiger Woods would return after his devastating car wreck.
On Tuesday, Trump spoke to Fox News about golf after Woods was seriously injured during a high-speed roll-over crash in his SUV outside Los Angeles.
“He’s going to come back, I have no doubt about that. He’s going to come back,” Trump said in the interview.
Trump has had a close relationship with Woods, having repeatedly split up in golf with the Masters champion during his presidency.
The President also awarded Woods a Presidential Medal in 2019.
“Because it was Tiger, everybody wanted to be there. Everyone went crazy, ”he told host Katie Pavlich about the ceremony.
“It was a big event. He considered it one of the great honors of his life, ”Trump said.
The former president praised Woods, who underwent surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
“He is far away. He had an incredible life and he is going to continue an incredible life, ”Trump said.
“But now he will overcome it. It is very bad on the feet, I understand. He will understand it in a way. He is a wonderful person. “
