Who is playing in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game? Full rosters, celebrities, former NBA players

On Wednesday, the rosters for the 2022 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game were announced. 

NBA 75th Anniversary Team members and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Dominique Wilkins and Bill Walton will serve as head coaches for the game.

Rosters are named after their coaches, going by “Team Nique” and “Team Walton”.

When is the 2022 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game? 

Date: Friday, Feb. 18

Time: 7:00 p.m. ET

Channel: ESPN

This game will be played at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland.

ESPN NBA reporter and host Cassidy Hubbarth will return as the host of the broadcast while ESPN NBA analysts Kendrick Perkins and Richard Jefferson, who work closely together on ESPN’s NBA Today, will serve as first-time Celebrity Game analysts. 

Roster breakdown of Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game 2022

The 21 participants in the game feature actors, comedians, singers, rappers, athletes and more. 

Hip-hop sensation and 2018 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP Quavo will be returning for his fifth appearance (2018, 2019, 2020) and will suit up for Team Walton.

Actors

The list of actors on the rosters are headlined by Ranveer Singh, Tiffany Haddish and Brittney Elena. While Singh and Elena make their debuts suiting up for Team Walton, Haddish will represent Team Nique. 

Singh is an Indian superstar and NBA India’s Ambassador while Elena (host, actress, athlete and model) and Haddish (comedian, actress and author) have worn multiple hats professionally. 

Personalities

Cleveland Mayor Justin M. Bibb (Team Nique) will also be making his debut at the event along with Peloton instructor Alex Toussaint (Team Walton) and Fanatics All-In Challenge Winner Noah Carlock (Team Walton).

Singers and Rappers

Of the 21 participants, six can be classified as singers or rappers, headlined by Cleveland-native recording artist Machine Gun Kelly (Team Walton).

Also on the rosters are rapper Jack Harlow (Team Nique),  country music stars Kane Brown (Team Nique) and Jimmie Allen (Team Walton), Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA (Team Nique) and singer, songwriter Anjali Ranadivé (Team Nique). 

Sports athletes

The athlete pool for this game includes players from the past and present, including a couple of Cavaliers legends in Booby Gibson (Team Nique) and Anderson Varejao (Team Walton). 

The pool of active athletes includes Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (Team Nique), Las Vegas Aces forward Dearica Hamby (Team Walton), Olympic high jump champion Gianmarco Tamberi (Team Nique), Harlem Globetrotters player Crissa Jackson and Olympian and professional skateboarder Nyjah Huston (Team Walton).
