CeeDee’s not fine with the fine.
The Cowboys wide receiver recently earned a $20,000 fine for having his jersey untucked, while Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers earned a $14,650 for being in violation of coronavirus rules.
Obviously, it’s an apples-to-oranges comparison in punishments, but some pointed to the NFL’s priorities when it comes to the coronavirus, while others have said that the Rodgers fine is a sign of preferential treatment for one of its star players.
Lamb was a bit perplexed by receiving another fine — and the disparity between the two numbers.

“Yes, very surprised — actually, very surprised,” Lamb said on Wednesday regarding his fines. When asked if the difference between the fines “annoyed” him, Lamb continued:
“Annoy me? Nah,” Lamb said. “Confuse me a lot? Very much so? Yes. I just don’t understand why I’m always the one getting fined for some reason. Untucked jersey, socks too low. I don’t know, bro. I don’t know.”
There are good reasons for the disparity in fines: This is Lamb’s third fine for an “equipment” issue, hence the hefty punishment. PFT reports that Lamb was fined once following Week 3 and once following Week 4. If Lamb violates the rule again, it could earn him a whopping $46,500 fine.
Lamb has also been fined for a post-game-winning-touchdown-taunt of Patriots cornerback Jalen Mills in Week 6.
On the other side, Rodgers was fined $14,650 for skirting the NFL’s coronavirus protocols, a number that’s collectively bargained by the NFLPA. The Packers earned a $300,000 fine for Rodgers’ transgressions, which is something of a drop in the bucket for an NFL franchise.
Rodgers may play this weekend after being forced to miss the Packers Week 9 matchup with the Chiefs. The Chiefs took the road win, 13-7.
In any case, there is reasoning for the disparity in fines. That doesn’t mean everybody has to like it.
