Wounded overnight in two separate Brooklyn shootings: Police

Police said an 18-year-old woman was shot in the knee block of Prospect Park on Monday night and a 37-year-old man was detonated multiple times inside a Brooklyn laundromat.

Police said the juvenile victim was walking on Winthrop Street near Rogers Avenue in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens shortly before 10:30 a.m. when someone fired from a gray vehicle, striking it.

He was taken to Kings County Hospital Center with non-fatal injuries.

It was not immediately clear whether he was the intended target.

Earlier in the evening, around 8 a.m., a 37-year-old man was blasted four times in the leg inside the Oceanview Laundromat on Ocean Avenue near Church Avenue in Prospect Park South, police said.

He was taken to the same hospital in stable condition.

The motive of the shooting was not clear.
